Getting Dirty In Punta Cana

Getting Dirty In Punta Cana

If you’re looking for an adventurous muddy time I highly suggest taking the Adventure Buggies from Vacaciones Barcelo in Punta Cana. This is my first every dune buggy excursion and it has to be one of the best excursions I have done in the Caribbean. I can not remember when I got so dirty.

I was the driver of Kellie B and, at first, I tried to dodge the pothole and mud. I really thought I was going to be able to stay clean. Oh, boy was I wrong. I ended up with mud everywhere and I mean EVERYWHERE, places I have never had mud before!!

Along the way, we stopped for a herd of cows and saw some school kids dressed in their uniforms and locals working coffee plantations. Once we arrived at the beach was absolutely beautiful. It has a few shops of goods that locals were selling and a small restaurant. You could tell the beach was pretty much in the middle of now where. There were about 150 people there and you could tell they all came with excursions.

After about 20 minutes at the beach off in the dune buggies, we went. I was so clean after a dip in the ocean, but that came to an end real quick. Next, we were heading to a plantation where they were growing coffee and tobacco. It was about a 20-minute drive. I never knew I could get so dirty in 20 minutes! Once we arrived there were outdoor showers to rinse off before we learned about local rum, coffee, and chocolate harvesting.

We walked through beautiful gardens and magical waterfalls before climbing down into a small cave and jumping into a cold freshwater cenote. This was my favorite part of the trip. It was amazing, Not only was the water cool and refreshing, but I was clean once again.

Thankfully, it was only a 15-minute ride back to where we started. I tried so hard not to the muddy along the way, but it didn’t work. The whole trip was so much fun. Next time I take Kaden to Punta Cana I am so booking this excursion for him. He would have loved it. It is a great family excursion in Punta Cana.

The trip was provided by Barcelo Resorts. Opinions are mine.
