The guys on the boat were very knowledgeable and quick to get the lines out. There were 6 of us fishing and we drew numbers to see who would be first. I got #2 and Matt got #4. When it was my turn I didn’t really know what to expect I sat in the chair and white-knuckled the fishing pole. I was so afraid the fish was going to rip it out of my hands. When the fish got on my line I reeled and reeled and reeled until my biceps hurt. I am telling you it is a workout deep sea fishing. We ended up catching 21 fish total and I reeled in 4….GO ME!! My arm was sore the next day, NO JOKE!

Our boat caught one Baracuda and 20 Mahi Maji. The Mahi was beautifully colored. They were a wide array of colors until they were out of the water for a minute then they call changed to the yellowish silver you see in the photos.

I would say for my first time deep sea fishing we had a great day! Maybe I had some beginner’s luck.
